Atlanta Hawks 81, Miami Heat 71

This was such an exciting game!!!!  Get ready for this stat....the high scoring quarter for both teams was the 2nd when the Hawks scored....drum roll please...25 points!  Amazing!  Okay, all sarcasm aside, this was a difficult game to watch.  I don't mind watching defensive battles, but this certainly wasn't one of those games.  Truthfully, I had more fun getting a colonoscopy than watching this game.  Each team just couldn't put the ball through the hoop, simple as that.  For as hot as each of these teams can get, they sure struggled to get anything going tonight.

Why the Hawks won
The Hawks won because they played less-crappy than the Heat.  How's that for expert analysis?  If I'm honest, that's really the best way to describe this game.  Okay, now to try and search for keys to the game which translated into a win for Atlanta....let's see....well, their scoring was distributed evenly with 6 players in double figures and Zaza Pachulia grabbed 18 of the Hawks 40 rebounds.  That's pretty significant, right?  Atlanta made only 28 field goals the entire game which is an extremely low number, but hey, they scored more than the Hawks so it doesn't matter.  Hmmm...what else can I say to make this post remotely interesting...ah...Joe Johnson is going to need to play better for this Atlanta team if they are going to win this series.  Also, Mike Bibby had more turnovers than assists.  That stat proves that correlation does not mean causation.  Plus, it had nothing to do with why Atlanta won.  In fact, they won in spite of Bibby.  What is with this guy?  Some of his shots tonight were terrible.  Anyway, just an interesting tidbit of information I thought would be fun for people to know who don't like Mike Bibby.  FYI, I am one of those people.

Why the Heat lost
Dwyane Wade wasn't spectacular. That's why the Heat lost.  It seems that when he isn't playing his best basketball, neither are the Heat.  Only 6 total players scored for Miami and a mere 3 of them were in double figures; that's not going to win you any games especially in the playoffs.  The Heat only had 23 made field goals the entire night, and only 4 of those were from the three point line where it is obvious they will live or die from.  They had a whopping total of 2 bench points, all by Michael Beasley.  I guess a couple bright spots were the play of Jermaine O'Neal who had another solid night as did James Jones who had a pair of 4 point plays to go with his 19 points.  On a side note, I really wish James Jones had 19 points as a Phoenix Sun.  Just once.  Also I wish he could've made a few shots as a Sun.  Or contributed remotely to winning.  Or losing for that matter.  /end rant

Heading into the next game, what to look for
I really don't know.  Maybe the Hawks will play like they did in game 1 or maybe they'll play like they did in games 2 and 3.  Maybe the Heat will play like they did in games 2 and 3 or maybe they'll play like they did in games 1 and 4.  Who knows.  All I do know is the Hawks are the better and deeper team which should translate into a win at home in game 5.

Prediction for next game
I have no idea. This series consists of the most inconsistent play I've seen from NBA playoff teams in a long time.  Eh, I'll say the Hawks win game 5 since they are the better team.  Truthfully, I don't care.
