With all this depressing talk today of people stealing tapes, me pimping out my own writings, and salary caps and economic woes destroying the memories of millions of fans, I figured I'd pass along this video from Ethan Jaynes at NESW Sports.

It's the Top 10 Slam Dunks of the past year.

Here are my thoughts on each and every dunk (I know you were dying for them):

10. Westbrook alley-oop off the backboard from Earl Watson
If you're a European player, DON'T EVER STAND UNDER THE BASKET EVER! Someone is going to try to embarrass you.

9. Dahntay Jones yaks on Erick Dampier
I'm pretty sure Erick Dampier was reclassified as European five years ago.

8. Tracy McGrady dunks on Tyrus Thomas
To borrow a line from Doc Holliday in Tombstone for T-Mac, "the tales of my demise have been greatly exaggerated." Okay, no they haven't but that was still nice to see from him.

7. Gerald Wallace alley-oop on Greg Oden
You won't find a non-Blazers fan that likes Greg Oden as much as me but that one gave me the Adonal Foyle face.

6. Josh Smith on Steve Nash
Nash has terrible luck taking charges against dunkers. Just ask Ricky Davis (Oh shit!) and Kobe Bryant.

5. Tyrus Thomas on Jermaine O'Neal
Seriously? Welcome to posterland? Seriously?

4. Dwyane Wade bangs on Emeka Okafor
I hope people realize how fundamentally unconventional that dunk was and how it makes it about 100 times better.

3. Mike Taylor on the map
Welcome to the NBA, Mike Taylor. And there are few better calls in the NBA than getting Ralph Lawler to say, "Oh me, oh my!"

2. Josh Smith's reverse put-back dunk
You just don't try that in a game. Ever. You just don't. I wouldn't even try that on a Nerf hoop.

1. LeBron James hangs then baptizes
I'm glad this wasn't confiscated.
