Seems pretty reasonable, right?
If he thought that Kobe Bryant was intentionally hitting him with elbows around the face and throat area then you can hardly blame a guy with such passion and intensity for trying to put a stop to it.
BUT!!!!
It gets more interesting from there. When the TNT post-game show went back to Ron Artest's sit down, impromptu interview he followed it up with this:
Um....WHAT!?!?!
A guy was killed on the court because the game was SOOOO competitive that guys on the other team broke off a piece of a table, threw it at an opposing player, it went THROUGH HIS HEART, and he died on the court? Really?
How is that a casual story that you tell? Can we believe this is even real? Did they finish the game with the guy on the sidelines who had next? Did he have to be talked into subbing into the game?
How can Ron Artest just say that without explaining it any further?
I am terrified and intrigued. But then again, I always am with Ron Artest on the mic.
