Second Round - Back to First Round
31. Seattle (from Memphis)- Josh McRoberts, PF, Duke
Seriously, what are the chances that he's Shavlik Randolph's financial advisor in 4 years?
32. Boston- Aaron Afflalo, SG, UCLA
A hard-nosed defender that will battle Tony Allen for his rotation spot until Tony blows out his knee opening a can of Mountain Dew Code Red.
33. San Antonio (from Milwaukee)- Zabian Dowdell, PG, Virginia Tech
Solid all around point guard that does everything well but nothing great. Should be great in Pop's system.
34. Dallas (from Atlanta)- Marcus Williams, SF, Arizona
Could be a lottery pick if he stays in school for another year or two. Way too immature for this year's loaded class.
35. Seattle- Ramon Sessions, PG, Nevada
Good quality, explosive point guard that will be a great backup in Seattle's offense.
36. Golden State (from Minnesota)- Nick Fazekas, PF, Nevada
Fits Nellie's style of spreading the floor for open jumpers. But will Nellie be there?
37. Portland- Taurean Green, PG, Florida
Any other year and this guy is a first round pick. He's a steal in the second round for a team looking for another point guard.
38. Philadelphia (from New York via Chicago)- Joao Gomes, SF, Portugal
Probably a year or two from playing in the NBA, but Sixers will stash him in Europe while he grows.
39. Miami (from Orlando via Sacramento via Utah)- Reyshawn Terry, SF, UNC
Miami doesn't have to pay James Posey with a guy like this on their roster. This is a luxury tax saving selection.
40. Los Angeles Lakers (from Charlotte)- Demetris Nichols, SF, Syracuse
Great shooter that allows the Lakers to spread the floor a little better in the triangle system.
41. Minnesota (from Philadelphia)- Alando Tucker, SF, Wisconsin
He is a scorer that is way undersized at the small forward position. But he can play and may be a steal in the 2nd.
42. Portland (from Indiana)- Renaldas Seibutis, SG, Lithuania
A guy Portland can stash in Europe as his game develops into more of a prototypical NBA shooting guard.
43. New Orleans- JamesOn Curry, SG, Oklahoma State
He's in the Bobby Jackson mold of a scoring combo guard that will be the main scorer off the bench when the real Bobby Jackson gets hurt again.
44. Orlando- Trey Johnson, SG, Jackson State
Ladies and Gentlemen- the Manu Ginobili of the 2007 NBA draft. An absolute steal here at #44.
45. Los Angeles Clippers- D.J. Strawberry, SG, Maryland
He gets to play in the city where his dad had all of his drug problems. The NBA, it's FAAAANNNNNtastic!
46. Golden State (from New Jersey)- Sun Yue, SF, China
Okay, now add Sun Yue to the car ride with Stephen, Jason, and Sean Williams through Oakland at night and you definitely have a hit reality tv show.
47. Washington- Kyrylo Fesenko, PF, Ukraine
A very raw project that Washington may have in the roster by 2010.
48. Los Angeles Lakers- Ali Traore, PF, France
Ronny Turiaf's buddy will be a good player for Phil to stash in Europe as he develops. A lot like a young Kwame Brown, only with promise.
49. Chicago (from Golden State via PHX, BOS, DEN)- Marc Gasol, C, Spain
Why trade your assets for Pau when you can have his little brother for 400k?
50. Dallas (from Miami via Lakers)- Herbert Hill, PF, Providence
Rough and tough big man that will throw some weight around when teams try to punish Dirk.
51. Chicago (from Denver)- Ron Lewis, SG, Ohio State
A shooter that will be very good at getting Ben Gordon's coffee in the morning.
52. Portland (from Toronto)- Aaron Brooks, PG, Oregon
Local guy that will be a Summer League legend that impresses even Jeff McInnis.
53. Portland (from Chicago)- Brad Newley, SG, Australia
Throw this Aussie in intenational play and never see him again.
54. Orlando (from Cleveland)- Dominic McGuire, SF, Marquette
Not quite as athletic as Andrei Kirilenko but does everything well like Shane Battier.
55. Utah- Aaron Gray, C, Pittsburgh
A stiff that Ronnie Brewer will try to posterize every practice.
56. Milwaukee (from Houston)- Jared Jordan, PG, Marist
If he can make the roster, he'll be fun to watch in garbage time.
57. Detroit- Stanko Barac, C, Bosnia
Throw him in Europe and hope he becomes a Rasho Nesterovic.
58. San Antonio- Marko Tomas, SG, Croatia
He'd be ahead of Bellineli if he didn't have injury problems.
59. Phoenix- Chris Richard, C, Florida
Big man that can run the floor and throw his weight around to protect Nash from Robert Horry.
60. Dallas- Giorgos Printezis, SF, Greece
I doubt he'll need his passport within the next decade unless he's traveling through Europe.
